GTA 6 Rumors Continue as Rockstar Works on GTA Online!

GTA 6 rumors continue to be popular as Rockstar has yet to give fans a real update on the state of the new game. What’s clear is that the company is continuing to focus on GTA 5 Online. Rockstar continues to push out updates for the game even after releasing the popular Heists game mode for the online portion of the game. We can assume from Rockstar’s aggressive online strategy with GTA 5, that they will be doing something similar with GTA 6.

Most people have wanted to play GTA with their friends for years. GTA 4 was the first game to have some sort of online play, but it wasn’t very robust. GTA 5 took the online to another level, and was a mostly separate game mode from the rest of GTA 5. Players have a new character that they use for GTA 5 Online, and they can play with up to 16 other players at the same time. For GTA 6, Rockstar says that they are exploring many different locations for the new game.

However, most people assume that they will reuse an older location. One two GTA games have taken place outside of the United States, and all of the GTA games have taken place in a total of four different fictional (but modeled after real) cities. The only location that hasn’t been reused is Vice City, which is based off of Miami.

It was the location for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which at the time became was the best-selling game in the series. However, it has been over a decade since Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was initially released although the game has been ported to many other systems and consoles since then.

GTA 6 Gameplay

It’s possible that GTA 6 won’t take place in Vice City since the setting is so old. The Grand Theft Auto games since GTA 4 have all taken place in a different universe from the previous games in the series. This is because there is a lot of previous story built up in the older games already that a lot of new fans of the series didn’t necessarily want to be associated with. It’s clear that Rockstar wants to continue on with the online portion of the game, but it’s not certain how they will integrate GTA Online with GTA 6.
