Sylvester Stallone Talks about his Regime for Rambo 5, First Spoilers Surface
After leading his Elite Crew of Mercenaries in The Expendables 3, Sylvester Stallone is gearing up for Rambo 5. Sly – that’s what friends call him – revealed that he was getting in shape for the upcoming movie in the Rambo franchise.
“I’m following a strict routine to get in shape for Rambo’s character. He has aged and with age comes experience. Hence, he will be vicious and intellectual at the same time. He is a killer with a conscience, smart but stupid. We will try to cover every aspect in the fifth installment.” Sly revealed.
Back in June this year, Splendid Films had given Sly the clearance to start working on the screenplay of Rambo 5, which he did, and the results will arrive soon. According to the official press release, Sly will fit right back into the shoes of former Green Beret John Rambo, who is skilled in various aspects of combat, including the use of a weapon and the good old hand-to-hand technique.
Initial reports suggest that Rambo will take on a Mexican cartel in the upcoming installment while Splendid Films revealed that the sub-plots include human trafficking too. The report further revealed that Sly considers Rambo 5 to be his version of “No Country for Old Men.”
Additional reports suggest that Rambo 5 could be the final episode of the franchise, considering that Rambo Four was conclusive in a way too!
Sly’s star trainer and former Mr. Olympia, Franco Columbo said “Sly gives his 100% every time. He is an achiever, a leader. He doesn’t like to sit back and let things take their own course and most importantly, he never gives up. He is a guy who likes to make things happen.”
