The Expendables 4 Adds Manny Pacquiao to List of Actors After Sylvester Stallone Visits Him at Gym, And Details
The Expendables 4 is a movie that many people have been looking forward to. Following the disappointing The Expendables 3, Sylvester Stallone said that all future versions of the movie will be rated R to avoid the disappointment of the previous film. The Expendables 3 is the only film in the series to be rated PG-13, and many people thought that the lack of an R-rating detracted from the film. We still don’t know who all will be in The Expendables 4.
The movie itself was confirmed in March of last year, but the star-studded list of actors the series is known for has yet to be fully complied. As with most movies, the list seems to be a work in progress. We know that Sylvester Stallone and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson have both signed on for The Expendables 4. When Stallone visited Manny Pacquiao in his locker room a few days ago, he got him to sign on for the fourth movie as well.
This will be the first time that Pacquiao has starred in an Expendables movie. Jean-Claude Van Damme has recently given a fourth movie his blessing. As far as unconfirmed actors, both Jack Nicholson and Hulk Hogan have said that they are going to be involved with the project. But, nobody who is working on the movie has confirmed their involvement with the project. The Expendables 4 seems like a movie that will most certainly be coming at some point, we just don’t know when. It, along with a fifth movie have been preliminarily green-lighted, it’s just a matter of getting the huge cast together and figuring out where they want to go with the movie.
The Expendables 4 is due out sometime in 2016, while The Expendables 5 is due out in 2018 if everything goes according to plan. The Expendables is one of the only action movies out that has a large cast of well-known action movie heroes, and doesn’t take itself too seriously.
It’s a series that brings back memories of older movies, while including newer actors as well, which is part of the reason why it’s so popular. Although the third movie in the series was regarded as the worst in the series’ history, it was mostly because of the PG-13 rating restraining the type of movie they could make.
