Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End and Halo 5: Most Anticipated Games of 2015

2015 is going to be a great year for gamers, with several hotly anticipated titles on the horizon. Deciding which should top a list of such games was always going to be difficult and everyone will have their own opinions, but it may boil down to “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End”, and “Halo 5: Guardians.”

Perhaps they should get the joint spot since Uncharted is a PlayStation exclusive and Halo is an Xbox exclusive.

Uncharted 4

Uncharted 4 has yet to be given an official release date by Naughty Dog/ Sony, but if all goes to plan it will definitely be out in 2015. The franchise has quickly become one of the most popular in the modern era – and rightfully so. All have received critical acclaim, with the 2nd instalment getting credited for being one of the best games of the past 10 years. They all have impressive visuals, intuitive 3rd person shooting and adventure controls, and a story and atmosphere that captures the heart of films like Indiana Jones through the gaming medium.

As a PlayStation 4 exclusive and from some of the footage already released, we know this is going to be a great looking game that perhaps sets a new standard for the industry.

Halo 5

Xbox and Halo go hand in hand, in fact it’s Microsoft’s most successful gaming property and Halo 4 managed to make $220 million on the first day of release.

It was only a matter of time before a new instalment of the wildly popular futuristic shooter made it to the Xbox One. Unfortunately due to a slow rate of console sales Halo 5: Guardians probably won’t be able to top its Xbox 360 predecessor, however there’s no doubt that it will sell well and boost console sales themselves.

The title is about a year away from being released on December 31st, 2015.

Honourable Mentions

There are so many other games that are going to do well this year, perhaps too many to list, but some that stand out include the Wii U’s Legend of Zelda, open world adventure game No Man’s Sky for PC and PS4, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.
