Witches of East End TV Series – A Must Watch
Remember Witches of East End? The world of magic and endless adventurous moments is just as in trend as it used to be
Witches of East End is an American TV series set in the fictional seaside town of East End. It is based on the book that carries the same name, written by Melissa de la Cruz.
The series follows the lives of a family of witches: Joanna Beauchamp and her two daughters, Freya and Ingrid Beauchamp. The series has 23 episodes and was first released on October 6, 2013. Season two was released on November 22, 2013.
In the series, Joanna seems to be living a rather comfortable, normal life in the company of her daughters. On the other hand, Joanna’s sister, Wendy, lives a more interesting life. She has the ability if turning into a cat, while also having 9 lives. However, it represents the secret of the family, as the four of them are all secretly witches.
What makes the show tremendously appealing is the idea of magical people being part of our world. It makes you question our society and take into consideration that witches might secretly be a part of our world. However, we need to realize that it is just a show, a very realistic one.
The series starts with one of the daughters getting engaged to a young, wealthy newcomer. The event triggers a series of happenings that force her mother reveal that they are powerful, immortal witches.
People loved the show so much that they are still talking about it, even though it got cancelled due to a decline in ratings during its second season. A fan soon launched an online petition campaign that gathered more than 85,000 signatures. It became very popular on Twitter, with fans using the hashtag #RenewWitchesofEastEnd and celebrities joining the movement.
Unfortunately, fans are still waiting for the show to come back. But who knows, maybe we will all get a surprise one day.
