Thomas Markle Jr. invited his half-sister Meghan Markle and his brother-in-law Prince Harry to his March wedding

Half-brother of the Duchess of Sussex, Thomas Jr., wants his little sister and her royal husband to attend his wedding in March after he proposed to girlfriend of two years, Darlene Blount. The couple celebrated their engagement at the New Year’s Eve party in Grants Pass, Oregon.

The invitation also comes as an attempt to reconcile the long estranged family: “Absolutely I think our wedding will bring the family closer together. It’s hopeful that if Meghan and Harry came and my father – Meghan and Harry could spend some time together with him and that would be good.’ Markle Jr. said.

Meghan has not yet spoken to her father since before her wedding back in May, when Thomas Sr. staged some paparazzi photos before the Royal Wedding, and then did not attend the wedding due to heart problems. However, her brother was not even invited to the wedding, since according to royal sources Meghan never actually had a relationship with her half-siblings. Later, despite Markle Sr. trying to get in touch with his daughter over text messages, he spent Christmas without hearing from her.

Thomas Jr. also added “I’ll definitely invite my father and my mother, although she won’t get on an airplane. And Meghan and Harry as well.”; “It would be kind of exciting if they came, it would be nice. Maybe they can start their New Year off in a better tradition and actually be more family involved.”

However, there is no official statement as of yet regarding if Harry and Meghan will attend the wedding, plus the Duchess will be well into her third trimester of her pregnancy by then. Also, they have their royal duties to carry out as they are set to appear on their first royal engagement of 2019 at Birkenhead on January 14.
