Disneyland’s Pixar Fest is the place to visit this summer
Disneyland Resort has recently opened the greatest celebration fest of all the characters from Pixar Animation Studios. The theme park can be visited until September 3, 2018.
Probably one of the greatest news this spring is the announcement of the grand opening of Pixar Fest. The biggest theme park to celebrate the most beloved Pixar characters and lovable stories of one of the world’s renowned Animation Studios is now open, since April 13, 2018. People of all ages, from the youngest to the oldest, are expected to step into this magical world, encounter the lovely characters from popular movies such as “Toy Story”, “Coco”, “Up” or “Monsters, Inc.” and see how all of them come to life.
“Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” is the most amazing fireworks show you will ever attend. The entire Disneyland Park sky is lit up with fireworks, not to mention about the projections scheduled on some of the most popular park locations, all accompanied by great music from the Pixar movies. The show is a celebration of friendship, a theme which can be encountered in all 19 Pixar animation movies. Look up in the sky to see Carl Fredricksen’s house (“Up”) flying over various park locations, such as the Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Guests can also attend the “Pixar Play Parade”, which is being led by the already popular Pixar Lamp many people adore and by the yellow Ball from “Luxo Jr.”, one of the Pixar shorts. The characters from “Inside Out” and “Up” will be present at every Pixar parade this summer.
“Paint the Night” parade is also a thing worth attending while visiting the Disney California Adventure this summer, especially due to the impressive number of LED lights (more than 1 million) that will lit up the night here. Characters from “Cars”, “Monsters, Inc.”, “Toy Story”, they can all be seen at the parade. Guests of all ages will be surprised by the pop-art and high-tech effects of the 40-minute length parade.
During the Pixar Fest, people can also choose to go to the Pixar Shorts Film Festival at the Sunset Showcase Theater, located in the Disneyland Resort. “LAVA” and “For the Birds” are only two of the short films that will rotate during the fest.
In case you go to Disney California Adventure Park and you cannot find the popular restaurant Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port, have no worries, as during the fest it was renamed to Alien Pizza Planet. The inspiration for this name came from the family restaurant that Andy from “Toy Story” usually went to and which was populated by green Space Aliens. Cheeseburger pizza and a specialty pepperoni pizza are only two of the many types of pizza you can find here.
And if you want to take some memories with you (other than photos), you should know that Pixar merchandise is available throughout the entire fest. Toys, accessories, apparel and a wide range of other fun gifts – it’s a sure thing you will find something you like.
All in all, Disneyland Resort is waiting for every Pixar fan to come and celebrate friendship together.
